Michael Chrichton made this statement in the context of a speech to the SF Commonwealth Club in 2004. Only in the last 7 years, the problem has taken on a new dimension. We are getting the message from every direction that some views are just too seductive to be permitted in the public domain. Social media must remove them. Responsible news-consumers must stay away from this “misinformation” lest it pollute their minds via exposure.
It is awfully convenient for the rich and powerful that the most dangerous websites are those that threaten their profits and expose their corruption.
